Parent Letter

Dear Parents,

I am thrilled to begin a new school year!  My name is Mary Nell Anthony, and this is my eleventh year teaching.  I consider myself fair but firm in the classroom.  My  "pet peeves" in a classroom are irresponsibility, rudeness, laziness, negativity, and an unwillingness to work; I can't tolerate any of these traits.   I do, however,  love positive attitudes and a willingness to learn.  My past years have been extremely successful, and I am eager to form a partnership with you to ensure that your child receives the best education possible.

I love for parents to be involved and you are invited to visit the classroom at any time, but especially during senior project presentations that your child will be making.  I hope that you will be asking your child about what s/he is reading and writing throughout the school year.  We are examining a wide span of literature, and it is imperative that no one falls behind.  Please encourage your child to be present every day and not miss any opportunity to learn.

I am always available to talk to you about any questions, concerns, or comments you may have.  I believe that with us working together we will be better equipped to meet the needs of your child.  Please contact me at any time using the information located on this website!

Sincerely,

Mary Nell Anthony
